We removed everything
that was not the ride.
No screen. No modes. No connectivity of any kind. The Type 7 has a throttle, a clutch, five gears and a single analogue dial that tells you the only number worth knowing.
What is left is a hand-brazed cradle frame, a long-stroke air-cooled twin tuned for the middle of the rev range, and a fuel tank lined by one person with a sable brush. It is slower than the machines it costs the same as. That is the point.
02 — Powerplant

The whole engine comes apart on a bench with one set of spanners. Nothing is pressed, bonded or sealed with anything you cannot buy in a provincial hardware store.
- 01 Valve cover Sand-cast, then hand-flatted. Four bolts, no gasket sealant.
- 02 Cylinder head Ports finished by hand against a master plug. No two are identical.
- 03 Finned barrel Twenty-two fins. Cast in one piece, machined on a manual mill.
- 04 Pistons Forged, 84mm, matched by weight to within two grams.
- 05 Crankcase Vertically split. Serial number struck, not laser-etched.

The launch finish. Volcanic grey over a bare-metal base, sealed matte, hand-lined in sulphur along the tank shoulder.

Two hours, one brush

No masking
The coachlines are pulled freehand with a sable sword-liner. If a line goes wrong the tank is flatted back and started again.
Struck, not printed
The wordmark is a steel die pressed into the primer before colour, so it sits under the paint rather than on top of it.
Signed inside
Whoever lined your tank signs the underside of the tunnel. You will only ever see it if you take the machine apart.
Kanlaon
The 2027 allocation opens in November. Forty-two machines, and we build in the order the deposits land. There is no waiting list after that.
